ADULT MINISTRY

ADULT/MASS/CHOIR
Open to persons who want to sing praises to the Lord.

PRAISE TEAM
Open to persons who feel moved to lead worship through song.

PASTOR'S ASSISTANT
Assists the pastor in worship services by reading scriptures and leading prayer.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Various Bible study groups designed to teach and equipt Christians to know and
understand what they believe. Also affords opportunities for questions to be asked and answered.
Studies provide strength to live daily lives knowing that God is always in control.

NEW MEMBERSHIP CLASS
A six-week course of study designed to teach new members principles and beliefs of
Chirstianity/Lutheranism with focus on what it means to be a Christian in the 21st
Century.

CHURCH COUNCIL
Governing body of the church elected by the congregation.

FIRST LUTHERAN SCHOOL BOARD
The governing body for the Child Development Center and Kindergarten whose
members are elected by the congregation.

COMMUNICATIONS
Promotes the church vision and mission within the congregation and the community.

FELLOWSHIP STEWARDS
Prepares and serves refreshments after worship services and provides for small group
ministry, inclusive of coordinating retreats.

ALTAR GUILD
Tends the altar for worship and prepares communion for distribution.

USHERS
Welcomes everyone into The House of the Lord and helps facilitate a smooth worship
service.

SOUND TECHNICIAN
Operates the sanctuary sound system during worship services.

YOUTH MINISTRY

BIBLE STUDY GROUPS FOR YOUTH

YOUTH CHOIR
Choir for children from twelve to eighteen years old.

LITTLE ANGELS
Choir for children two to eleven years old.

OUTREACH MINISTRY

CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER AND KINDERGARTEN
Provides a safe, healthy, and moral start for children by developing
their spiritual and academic foundation. The children participate in
the worship service every 5th Sunday.

CARE MINISTRY
To equipt the church to extend the Kingdom of God by making disciples.
Its purpose is to renew ministry of the believer, gather the harvest of
the church, and revive the church.

NEW CREATION
Provide supportive services to those who have been disenfranchised
by substance abuse, inadequate education, drugs, and incarceration
with a holistic approach to shelter, food, clothing, and life skills counceling.
Also focuses on anger management and job retention.

TRANSPORTATION
Provides transportation to and from church services.
